So, We had this very nice looking white pumpkin sitting on our porch for Halloween that we had intended to carve. It didn't get carved after all, so I thought to myself- 'hey, I've never heard of a WHITE pumpkin pie. I wonder what it would taste like?'. And so, I have done it! I actually peeled, chopped, cleaned, boiled, mashed and drained the pumpkin myself. It was fun, but I've decided that there is definitely a reason for buying canned pumpkin puree.
Anyway, to get onto the pictures.. I only have pictures of the finished project, sorry. I didn't actually think about this until someone *cough* reminded me.. so here it is. In hindsight, it didn't turn out nearly as white as I'd hoped it would, mainly due to the spices, but it tastes SO good. Seriously, I made two pies. The first one was gone within the hour. so, yeah.. you guys should try it.
